Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)

CMMI is a collection of systems, hardware, and software development and services delivery best practices originally sponsored by the US Department of Defense.  The CMMI has grown to international acceptance and is now used as much throughout the world as in the United States. CMMI includes a body of knowledge, appraisal methods to determine an organization's ability to successfully develop and deliver products and services, and training certifications.  Many organizations look for CMMI Maturity Level 3, 4, and 5 credentials when doing business with new suppliers.

BTI supports both the CMMI for Development and CMMI for Services by providing:
  • Implementation consulting,
  • Appraisals at Maturity Levels 2, 3, 4, and 5, and
  • Training.
BTI's staff is certified in CMMI at the pinnacle "CMMI High Maturity Lead Appraiser" credential.

Lean Six Sigma (LSS)

 



LSS is a process change and improvement approach that represents the integration of two ideas:
  • Focusing on delivering value to the customer while eliminating waste (Lean) and
  • Reducing variability to make sure that a process's natural behavior is producing the planned results (Six Sigma).
BTI provides LSS implementation support at the enterprise and project levels, LSS project implementation, and training in LSS techniques meeting American Society of Quality (ASQ) and US Department of Defense green and black belt certifciation requirements.  BTI's staff are certified by the ASQ as LSS Black Belts.
